Meet Steve, The Mississauga Food Bank’s Truck Driver. This month, Steve’s celebrating his 20th year with TMFB!
“I’ve always been the driver. My father worked for the Salvation Army and he heard TMFB was looking for a driver. That’s how it started.
The Food Bank has changed so much over the years. It’s bigger and better than it has ever been. We can bring in more food and ship out more food than we ever could before— and that’s the whole goal.
I’ve been here for 20 years because I enjoy what I do. I’m happy here, and being acknowledged for what TMFB does in the community makes me the most happy.
Hearing “thank you thank you, for everything you do” goes a long way. It’s what keeps me coming back.”
