Rally your co-workers together and join us for a tour, learn more about Food Banks Mississauga and our programs, the urgent need our neighbours continue to face, and the leadership role we play in our network.
Please note that a minimum donation per shift is required to participate in our Corporate Volunteering Program.
*NEW* We are now accepting groups of up to 20 people:
1-12 volunteers (min. donation $1,000 per shift)
OR
13-20 volunteers (min. donation $2,000 per shift)
Your contribution will support us and our network of 60+ agency members who serve over 56,000 food bank users every year. Thank you for your generosity and willingness to make a difference.
Shifts are subject to cancellation due to availability of food donations to sort.
Responsibilities
Sort food donations according to best before dates, package integrity, and food type to prepare them to be distributed to neighbours through our network, and inspect and package food donations to ensure they meet health and safety requirements.
Build, pack, label, scan, and stack food boxes, and recycle packaging materials, bale cardboard, etc.
Clean up the food sorting area with fellow volunteers at the end of the shift.
