With Thanksgiving on its way, I’m so incredibly grateful for YOU.
Though our community is going through some incredibly tough times, and many families are struggling to keep food on the table, you’re always there, tirelessly and selflessly caring for our neighbours in need.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Mississauga has the most caring and compassionate community!
Your support has made an incredible difference at a time when it has never mattered more. Here are just a few of the ways you’ve been there for your neighbours:
• You helped provide over 187,000 meals this summer.
• You helped make our summer Community Market a huge success, bringing fresh fruit and vegetables directly to the neighbourhoods most in need.
• Your support goes beyond food, helping us to advocate for change and address the root causes of hunger in our community.
And these are just some examples of the good you’re doing! To see the bigger picture, please take a look at our 2021-2022 Face of Hunger Annual Impact Report, which just came out last week.
During this season of giving, I want you to know how grateful I am to have you by our side. And with The Mississauga Food Bank’s 2022 Thanksgiving Food Drive, sponsored by Keurig Dr Pepper Canada, underway, I hope I can count on you to continue to support our neighbours at a time when they really need us.
With my heartfelt thanks,
Meghan Nicholls
