Tim Hortons Smile Cookies Are Back!

100% of proceeds raised in Mississauga will go to Food Banks Mississauga and Community Living Mississauga

Food Banks Mississauga is partnering with Tim Hortons Restaurant Owners of Mississauga for the fifth year as a joint recipient of the annual Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign taking place April 28 – May 4, 2025. Last year in Mississauga, $175,886.60 was raised in Tim Hortons restaurants across the city. As one of two local charitable partners for the Smile Cookie campaign, Food Banks Mississauga will be sharing funds raised with returning beneficiary, Community Living Mississauga.

“Every year, Tim Hortons restaurant owners across Canada come together with team members and guests to make an incredible impact in their local communities with the annual Smile Cookie campaign,” says Axel Schwan, President of Tim Hortons. “Generous guests helped us raise nearly $18.8 million last year. We invite all Canadians to join us in our restaurants to support Smile Cookie week. It’s a deliciously easy way to make an impact in your local community and is one of the most feel-good and inspirational times of the year for Tims fans.”

As Canadians get ready to perform their civic duty and vote in the federal election today, they are encouraged to participate in another proud Canadian tradition and stop by their local Tim Hortons restaurant to purchase Smile Cookies in support of neighbours in need.

“After Mississauga saw the fastest growing rate of food bank use in the province in 2024, we need the support of our community more than ever; particularly given the economic uncertainty and potential economic pressures that will impact food bank use,” says Juanita Moore, COO of Food Banks Mississauga. “As the cost of living continues to soar, the funds raised from this year’s Smile Cookie campaign will support the 1 in 13 Mississauga residents who rely on us and our network of 60+ food programs.”

Smile Cookies are available for purchase in participating restaurants from April 28 – May 4, 2025. Each cookie costs $2.00 (plus tax), and proceeds raised will support Food Banks Mississauga and Community Living Mississauga.

“Community Living Mississauga is very fortunate to have such a longstanding relationship with Tim Hortons owners across our city,” said Keith Tansley, Executive Director at Community Living Mississauga. “We want to say thanks to them, as well as everyone who buys Smile Cookies, on behalf of the hundreds of children and youth who have an intellectual disability who have been able to connect with their community through our summer recreational programs thanks to the funds raised by this campaign.”
