It’s that time of the year, when we’re reminded to express our love for those who mean a lot to us. As I look back on 2024, I am filled with such gratitude for the way you came together to support neighbours in need.
Together, we ensured over 56,000 of our neighbours had the nutritious food they needed. That is 20,000 more neighbours than the previous year.
You were right there beside our network of 60+ agency members, keeping shelves stocked when we were needed most.
With the support of our returning Holiday Drive sponsor, Nissan Canada Foundation and our partner Orlando Corporation who matched year-end donations, the community came together to ensure households across Mississauga spent the holiday season around a full table.
You also stepped up on Giving Tuesday to “Raise the Fridge” to help repair our industrial fridge and freezer! A special thanks to our anonymous Giving Tuesday partner who doubled your impact.
As I look to the year ahead, there’s no doubt that we’ll continue to face challenges. We anticipate that even more of our neighbours will need us in the months to come. But your support keeps us energized and hopeful.
Already this year, you helped us expand our network as we welcomed The Salvation Army Cawthra and The Salvation Army Meadowvale as agency members. This means fairer access to services and more neighbours getting the support they need.
