Giving Thanks for a Community that Cares
A message from Meghan
With Thanksgiving around the corner, I want you to know how grateful I am for you. I wish you could see the countless moments of relief, gratitude, and hope you’ve made possible the past few months.
I’m thinking of the kids over the summer, excited to carry their very own bag full of fresh, healthy snacks. And their parents’ smiles of relief, knowing their little ones wouldn’t go without.
With school meal programs closed, your support helped families through a difficult summer. Thank you for making our End Summer Hunger Campaign a success—and a very special thanks to our campaign sponsor, Chick-fil-A Heartland.
And for neighbours like Omar, your generosity means much more than a full table. His words keep coming back to me: “It feels like I’m not alone.” That’s the true essence of the difference you’re making.
You’re showing people they’re part of a community that takes care of each other.
This Thanksgiving, let’s come together once again to ensure everyone in Mississauga can make happy memories around a full table. A special thanks to our Thanksgiving Drive sponsor, Keurig Dr Pepper Canada, for leading the way during this season of giving.
And make sure to mark your calendar because Mississauga’s municipal election is being held on Monday October 26th. Your vote can help shape the policies that can make life more affordable for you and your neighbours in need. With my deepest thanks,
