It’s heartbreaking to feel like you can’t take care of your family…
And it’s been heartbreaking for us, worrying we won’t be able to keep up with the need in our community.
Thankfully, neighbours like you come together, time after time to take care of each other.
I’d like to extend a thank you to those of you who supported our 2025 Spring Drive and our incredible partner, Scotts Canada Ltd, who matched gifts dollar-for-dollar, meaning food for TWICE the number of meals.
I’d also like to thank you for your support of our Give 30 Ramadan campaign—your giving spirit truly shone through!
Your support is being put straight to work, keeping our shelves stocked, reaching more people in need, and getting more food across our community, thanks to your support that fuels our fleet of four trucks.
As our team looks to the months ahead, we’re taking a collective deep breath. As a community, we’re facing a whole new set of financial hardships and uncertainties. We’re going to have to lean on each other more than ever before.
So I’m asking from the heart, please carry on being there for your neighbours. I’d also like to ask you to use your voice to call for lasting change. Our social safety net is in dire need of repair, and it’s long past time for our governments to act.
My friend, once again, thank you for having our back. Knowing you’re there beside us gives us hope, and the energy to carry on.
