Last year, Food Banks Mississauga and our network of 60+ food programs provided nutritious food to almost 14,000 kids across our city. Help End Summer Hunger and provide relief to families in need.

Host a Virtual Food Drive
Register now and join our team of Hunger Warriors by creating your very own personalized fundraising campaign! Set your own fundraising goal, share it with your friends, family and coworkers, and give back in a meaningful way this summer.

Host an In-Person Food Drive
This summer, help us provide nutritious food to families by organizing a food drive to collect our urgently and most needed items! It’s a great way to show your gratitude with your loved ones, neighbours, and co-workers! While we can do the most with your monetary donations and make every dollar stretch, we happily welcome your donations of shelf-stable food and personal care products.
You can drop off donations at our warehouse (4544 Eastgate Parkway) or at any local Mississauga fire station. If you haven’t registered your food drive, please make sure to fill out this form and bring it with you when you drop off donations at our warehouse

What is the End Summer Hunger campaign?
End Summer Hunger is a Food Banks Mississauga campaign that helps provide nutritious food for children and families during the summer, when school-based meal and snack programs are no longer available.

Why does food insecurity become especially challenging during the summer?
Many children rely on meal and snack programs during the school year. When school ends, families who rely on this in-school food support for 9 months of the year have to find a way to replace those meals while also managing the cost of housing, groceries and other essential expenses.

How does a $90 donation help?
A $90 gift can help provide a child with healthy and nutritious food for one month during the summer.

Can I donate an amount other than $90?
Yes. Choose the donation amount that works best for you through the donation form. Every gift helps Food Banks Mississauga provide healthy food to neighbours facing food insecurity during the summer

Will I receive a tax receipt for my End Summer Hunger donation?
Eligible donors will receive a tax receipt using the information submitted through the campaign donation form. Provide your full name, mailing address and a valid email address so the receipt can be issued correctly.

How will my End Summer Hunger donation be used?
Donations to the campaign help Food Banks Mississauga provide food for children, families and other neighbours facing food insecurity during the summer.

Can my workplace or community group support End Summer Hunger?
Yes. Workplaces, schools and community groups can support the campaign by fundraising, sharing the campaign or making a group donation. Contact Food Banks Mississauga for guidance on setting up the most appropriate campaign.

Can I help if I am unable to donate $90?
Yes. Donations of different amounts, fundraising and sharing the campaign can all help raise awareness and support. Choose the option that is appropriate for you.
